I try to keep up the news as much as I can, but I don’t really watch TV. So, mostly I rely on a customized News page on Google to keep me informed of events locally, in the U.S., and throughout the world. I never rely on a single source for information, and will usually read the same story from four or five sources, then formulate my own opinion. Many journalists today have a hard time just reporting, and leaving their personal bias or slant, behind.

I was online this weekend, and decided to check out the offerings to see if I needed to add any additional sections. As I was going through, I saw one called “WTF.” Awesome. I guess these are stories that would fall into the category of strange and bizarre. I quickly added it to my news page, and I’m sure that there will be some good material to share here in the future. As I was going through all the options, I realized that many new ones have been added, and I should probably check these out more often.

Do any of you use Google News? If not, what do you rely on to keep you informed of happenings in the world? Do you use something better that pulls in news feeds from many various sources, and maybe allows better customization? What about RSS feeds? What is your favorite way to organize those?
